About Aloha House

At a recent Lomi training, one of the participants, receiving some Lomi-Lomi treatment from Louise, was so moved that she began to weep, sobbing gently and quietly. When I asked her, what had happened for her, she responded very simply, saying that it was a,” touch of love.” This seems to be what always draws me to Louise and Lomi- lomi. Louise is the only teacher I have known so the two seem to go naturally together for me. The touch of love, so what I too try to express in my own work- and I’m grateful and glad to follow her lovely, gently, firm and practiced example. Recently I worked for a week in a nursing home setting amongst older residents, some quite disabled- whom I knew very well and for whom I held a kind of awed respect. Many of these ladies had never received a massage in their lives, let alone a full body treatment. I was so touched by their trust, opens and gratefulness to receive; climbing onto the table with such difficulty some of them- but oh the look of utter relief to have received, simply shone from their faces. Thank you Louise for imparting and inspiring such a gift!

Words will not begin to do justice to the unique and extraordinary gift of loving, healing touch and Aloha Spirit embodied by Louise. My first Pohaku Nui session with her was one of the most profoundly healing, nurturing, mind-altering, sense-reconnecting experiences of my life. Hovering in the space of open awareness and total physical surrender, I was keenly conscious of a graceful ballet of exquisite feminine energy working with my body and my whole being. At times, it was like the ocean itself was flowing under me, over me, and through me as wave after wave of movement, breath, touch, music, dance, sound and release flowed in an utterly humbling ‘dance of Aloha’ where all was One. I was simultaneously shattered and remade by the experience in the most stunning and awe-inspiring way imaginable. Following that encounter, I took a Lomi Nui training with Louise. As a teacher, she has a fantastic, fun, pixie-like way of getting her message across. The adventures in Lomi she took us through were liberating, moving, touching, sometimes intense, other times hysterical funny. Training with her changed my own practice of Lomi in many lasting ways….I move more with the flow of feminine energy than I used to, and allow the dance of Lomi to guide me rather than trying to guide it. Louise’s joyful spirit is infectious, and her love of Lomi is contagious. You could put yourself in no better hands than hers!

Aloha Louise, let me say thank you for an amazing learning experience! You truly are a beautiful soul. The way you teach is defined by the space you leave for your students to grow, to develop, to feel the wisdom of lomi lomi, and to be aloha. You build this safe learning environment, and teach with a joyful yet strong spirit that allows to be next to you. That is an unique experience! At first I was a little worried about going all the way from Germany to Ireland to take a training with you. Now I am more than thankful I did. These days and the training were one of the best experiences I ever had. Some of the little things you said, and did were so profound that I came back with much more insight than I ever expected.

I couldn't recommend Aloha house highly enough! The location, the loving vibe, the little touches and details but most of all the sweet owners make it such a very special place. Whether you're planning to stay at the B&B for a few nights, come for a treatment/a class or learn Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage, you'll have a wonderful time. As for the courses/retreats, Louise is an incredible teacher who is so generous and passionate about sharing her gift and her skills with anyone who is willing and open to learn.

I came with my Cousin on our Roadtrip through Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way, to this most incredible place we've ever seen. It’s such a beautiful peaceful place. Absolutely relaxing. Like the owner said when we came:" make you feel at home" We feel so relaxed and, feel like at home. Everything is so clean, there is even a little tea corner in our room. The colors, the furniture, everything spreads happiness and peace and we could see that there is a lot of love in every detail. We even forgot to lock the door of our room because it felt like home. It is absolutely a hidden treasure. If I will ever come back to Ireland, I would love to come back to Aloha House as well. Thanks for being a part of our Roadtrip through this incredible country. I had the most amazing Hawaiian massage in my life. Two hours totally dedicated to healing your body with the energy of pure love and devotion. You happily surrender to all sensations - gentle heat coming from the stones, sounds of invocatory Hawaiin chants sung live, gliding movements of the arms touching you so intimately like your mother when you were a child or your lover who wants to express all his love without words. Such beautiful experience of total trust and surrender accompanied by the sounds of divine music (the session ended with Omkara's Remember Who You Are). I'm ready to fly from Portugal for this...

Louise is a natural teacher, she encourages learning through her relaxed yet professional manner. Students come away with much more than a certificate, they become more rounded and caring therapists with a new level of understanding of the power of touch. Just wanted to say a very special thanks for a fantastic weekend course. For me to go from not being sure about attending the course to actually end up loving the whole ethos of it all is just amazing, it went beyond all my wishes, hopes & expectations, a truly fantastic, enlightening a & wonderful experience. All I can say is WOW. You bring things to a different level, accepting, allowing & safe environment, which is truly amazing.

This is an amazing place.... whether you come for one of the classes offered, taking part of a Lomi Lomi retreat, coming for a treatment or looking for a really friendly airb&b with a magnificent view by the Riverside of the small town of Killorglin.

I've stayed in this amazing B&B a couple of times. Besides the stunning views, less than 2 mins walk to killorglin town centre, cozy beds, beautiful arty decor, the hosts Louise, Bryan and their two boys are the most welcoming family you could possibly have. The vibe of the whole place is beyond any expectations. Staying at the Aloha House is some experience.
